The CSTO member states will hold six joint military exercises this year - in Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, acting CSTO Secretary General Valery Semerikov said.
"Three of them will be held on the territory of Russia, two - in Tajikistan and one - in Kyrgyzstan," he said at the CSTO PA Council meeting in Bishkek. The meeting is attended by the heads of legislative bodies of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
Semerikov noted that there are several areas of security threats to member countries now: the situation in Afghanistan and the NATO actions.
