September 18th 2015 was proclaimed Uzeyir Hajibeyli Memorial Day in the City of Santa Monica, Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Los Angeles said.
The city’s mayor, Kevin McKeown, signed a proclamation that the 130th birth anniversary of the founder of Azerbaijani classical music, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, will be marked on September 18.
