Canada introduces sanctions against Gazprom and Transneft

Canada introduced additional economic sanctions against 14 Russian legal entities and three individuals. Such information is contained in the statement of Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper posted on the internet page of the Canadian government.

Furthermore, Canada imposed a ban on import and export of goods from the territory of Crimea.

"These further sanctions are being taken in coordination with our partners," TASS cited the statement as saying.

"We support current efforts for a diplomatic solution and call for Russia and its proxies to fully implement their commitments under the Minsk agreements," the prime minister added.
