Caucasus pupils will use Skype to learn Russian

Anzor Muzayev, deputy head of the Russian educational surveillance Rosobrnadzor, said today that teachers will use Skype to teach pupils of the North Caucasus the Russian language. Skype has already been used for education processes in Dagestan's Khasavyurt, Gazeta.ru reports.


The official noted that Khasavyurt pupils showed the best results at the Unified State Exams.


Muzayev added that the Russian-speaking population had dropped in Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan. Over 90% of education staff in the three regions were Russian-speaking professionals.
