Sochi Airport received the first flight of Iran Air Tours from Tehran on Friday morning.
"The Iran Air Tours company begins flying to Sochi. The flights will be carried out once a week. Today, we have 104 passengers, the plane is almost loaded",
the airport's operator said.
The international flight was launched jointly by the Russian tour operator MANTERA TRAVEL and the Iranian BuranPars. It is expected that the flight will be in demand both among Russian travelers and guests from Iran. Today, Iran is one of the five countries that supply the most tourists to the Russian Federation. Trips to Sochi will be especially in demand during the summer months, when Iran experiences intense heat.
The first group of tourists from Iran will stay in Sochi until June 28, TASS reports.
