A chief coach of Russia’s national football team will be appointed at a meeting of the Russian Football Union’s (RFU) executive board on August 11, RFU First Vice President Nikita Simonyan said, TASS reports.
"Today, we held a regular meeting of the RFU executive board’s bureau. The president of the organization, Vitaly Mutko, told the participants about his conversations with the candidates for head coach of the Russian national team and laid bare his vision of the situation. All members of the bureau also voiced their opinions on that matter. As a result, we have preliminarily appointed a meeting of the RFU executive board on August 11 where we plan to appoint a new chief coach of the Russian team," FRU’s press service quoted Simonyan as saying.
