China, Iran, and India to be included in new INF

The Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Vladimir Shamanov, said today that the new INF Treaty could become multilateral, with the participation of those countries that were able to gain access to the rocket technologies after 1988.

"When the US is ready to take the initiative that we have shown during at least 10 years, then we will be ready to build together the configuration of countries that already possess these technologies - and these countries are China, North Korea, Iran, Pakistan and India," he said, adding that the INFM will not be a two-way treaty.
