Chinese company Beijing Capital Agro has announced plans to invest over $600 million in Kazakhstan's meat livestock industry.
The project, slated for completion by 2030, aims to create a sprawling livestock hub that will integrate more than 600 existing farms and feedlots across Kazakhstan.
The announcement came during a pivotal meeting between Kazakhstan's Minister of Agriculture and representatives from Chinese companies CITIC Construction and Beijing Capital Agro.
Both firms expressed keen interest in forging long-term partnerships with Kazakhstan, particularly in the acquisition of beef and live cattle, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported.
