Today, the outstanding Russian-Azerbaijani writer, literary critic, doctor of philology, professor of the philological faculty of Moscow State University, honored art worker of Azerbaijan Chingiz Huseynov turns 90 years old.
Chingiz Hasan oglu Huseynov was born in 1929 in Baku. In 1952, he graduated from the philological faculty of Moscow State University, in 1956, completed a postgraduate course at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He worked as a consultant in the Commission on Literature of the Peoples of the USSR under the Union of Writers of the USSR (1955-1971). Since 1991, he has been teaching at the philological faculty of Moscow State University and at the same time at the Academy of Retraining of Culture and Art Workers. In 1999, Huseynov was awarded the Order of Friendship.
He wrote many books, including six novels translated into many languages. The writer gained popularity due to his novels "Magomed, Mamed, Mamish", "Family Secrets", "Fatal Fatali", "Doctor N" and others.
The novel "Fatal Fatali" describes the Russian-Caucasian relations in the 19th century, and the Doctor N novel - the collapse of the Russian Empire in the Caucasus in the early 20th century.
Chingiz Huseynov is the chairman of the Council on Azerbaijani Literature of the International Community of Writers’ Unions and a member of the Council of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Russian Azerbaijanis.
In addition, he is a recognized expert in the field of literary creativity of the peoples of Russia and the former USSR. Huseynov presented his lectures and presentations at major scientific conferences in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, USA, France, Turkey and other countries.
