Co-Chairs of OSCE Minsk Group to discuss escalation of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in Vienna

The OSCE Minsk Group’s co-chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Pierre Andrieu (France) and James Warlick (the US) will meet today in Vienna.

James Warlick wrote on Twitter that the three co-chair countries (Russia, the US and France) initiated the meeting of all member countries of the Minsk Group on Tuesday in connection with the worsening of hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, abc.az reports.

The OSCE Minsk group include Belarus, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, and Turkey, as well as Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Recall, on the night of April 2 all frontier positions of Azerbaijan were exposed to heavy fire from large-caliber weapons, mortars, grenade launchers and guns. In addition, Azerbaijani settlements near the front line, densely populated by civilians, were shelled.
