Construction of the international airport of Turkestan, which is located 16 km from Kazakhstan's Shaga town, will be completed before the end of the year, according to the regional authorities.
The foundation of the airport terminal is about to complete, the website of the regional administration said, adding that construction of the airport will be fully completed in September by a Turkish company YDA Group.
The airport will occupy 900 ha of land. There will be a terminal, which will serve about 3 million passengers a year, an air strip and other facilities, AKIpress reported.
