The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has proposed eliminating daylight saving time, explaining that the practice is effective among countries with large geographical areas.
"The ANAS experts agreed that energy savings in Azerbaijan as a result of the conversion to daylight saving time won't provide any serious economic effect. Daylight saving time creates a number of psychological, social and moral issues, as well as synchronization of the international time schedule," abc.az cites the statement.
