A counter-terrorism operation imposed yesterday is continuing in Nalchik and two militants have been killed, a source in the law-enforcement agencies of Kabardino-Balkaria said.
A counter-terrorism operation regime was imposed in Nalchik at 16.25 (MSK) on Friday in order to ensure the safety of citizens, organizations and institutions, to locate and neutralize illegal armed groups and their supporters, a representative of the republic's operational headquarters said.
A representative of the Operational Headquarters of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee said that a militant was surrounded in a private house.
