Moscow’s Tagansky’s court satisfied the demand of Russia’s telecommunications watchdog and blocked access to the Telegram messenger in Russia over its failure to furnish keys to the Federal Security Service to decrypt user messages.
"The court ruled to satisfy the demand of Roskomnadzor," TASS cited Judge Yulia Smolina as saying.
The court said that the messenger will be blocked immediately, adding that the ban on access to the Telegram messenger will be in force until it furnishes decryption keys to the Federal Security Service.
Smolina stressed that the ban on access to information will be in force until the FSB’s demands are met.
