Crimeans to be provided with 'Mir' credit cards this year

Residents of Crimea will be provided with credit cards of the 'Mir' national payment system. The issuance of the cards has already started.

"From 600,000 to 1,000,000 cards are be issued in Crimea this year, and they will satisfy the needs of the region," the General Director of the National System of Credit Cards (NSCC) Vladimir Komlev said.

According to him, due to sanctions Crimea remains a localized area for bank payments, so the 'Mir' cards will be very popular there, Tass reports.
