The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has published the results of monitoring, according to which Dagestan became the leader in the growth of milk production in 2015. In Dagestan, 817 thousand tons of milk were produced this year, that is 3% more compared to the previous year (790 thousand tons).
At the same time, the average annual milk yield per cow in Dagestan increased even more – 1.85 tons this year compared to 1.777 tons in the previous year (up 4%), RIA Dagestan reports.
