According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Dagestan, Abzagir Huseynov, the republic plans to expand the area of its vineyards to 35,600 hectares in 15 years until 2035. The corresponding norm is indicated in the Strategy for the Development of Viticulture and Winemaking of the Republic of Dagestan.
“Until 2035, it is envisaged to create favorable conditions for increasing the production of the main types of viticulture and wine products to the following volumes: the total area of vineyards will be more than 35,000 hectares, an increase in 2035 will be 35.6% compared to 2020 ", TASS cites the strategy.
