Darkhan Kaletayev appointed head of Kazakh government's office

Kazakhstan Prime Minister Askar Mamin introduced new head of his office Darkhan Kaletayev to the staff.

Darkhan Kaletayev, an East Kazakhstan State University graduate, was born on October 14, 1972. He began his career in 1995. He worked in the Presidential Administration, ministries of education and culture, information and public consent.

In 2007-2008 he served as deputy head of the President's Administration, in 2008-2009 - first deputy chairman of the Nur Otan party, in 2009-2016 - managing director of JSC Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund, AKIpress reported.

In October 2016, he was appointed as Senator by the president. In September 2017-April 2018, he was a member of the Senate's Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security. In April 2018, he was appointed Minister of Social Development of Kazakhstan.
