Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu invited everyone to join a broad discussion on the country's transition to a presidential republic.
"We will put this issue on the agenda. If the opposition has other suggestions, let it put them forward. They say that there is a flaw in a presidential system. Let's think how to fix it. It is believed that a presidential system can lead to dictatorship, however, a parliamentary system brought Hitler to power in Germany," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
The Prime Minister reminded that the parliamentary system, which has operated since the founding of the Turkish Republic in 1923, was unable to prevent military coups in 1960 and 1980.
