Davutoglu meets with King Abdullah II

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has arrived in Jordan on an official visit to hold talks with King Abdullah II.

They discussed regional problems, in particular the Syrian crisis, the way of its comprehensive political settlement, as well as the possibility of mitigating the impact of the crisis on neighboring countries, particularly in the refugee issue. They stressed the necessity of international community's commitment to its obligations in relation to the countries hosting Syrian refugees, particularly Jordan and Turkey.

King of Jordan Abdullah II and the Turkish Prime Minister also discussed the threat of terrorism to the security of the Middle East and the whole world.

In addition, the high level of Jordanian-Turkish relations and the interest in strengthening cooperation was emphasized during the negotiations.

Today Davutoglu also met with the Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour to discuss issues of deepening economic cooperation.

Agreements in the areas of social protection, industry, trade, metrology, forestry, air and rail transport were signed after the meeting,
