The Day of Azerbaijan was held in Minsk in the framework of the 2nd European Games, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Youth and Sport said in a statement.

The delegation led by Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Chingiz Huseynzade took part in the event.

During the Day of Azerbaijan, the national Azerbaijani cuisine was presented. The audience enjoyed the performance of Honored Artist Tunzali Agayeva and the dance ensemble Yallı.

The Second European Games in Minsk is taking place on June 21-30 in Minsk. More than 4,000 athletes will compete in 15 kinds of sports for 200 medal sets. Eight of the sports will offer qualification opportunities for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

The First European Games were held on June 12-28, 2015 in Baku.
