The Baku Slavic University (BSU) is hosting the Days of Moscow. A round table conference entitled 'Education through culture and culture through education - the formula of the XXI century' was held as a part of the event. The chairman of the Russian Community of Azerbaijan, Mikhail Zabelin, welcoming the guests from Moscow at the opening said that the relations between the two countries in the field of culture and education have a long history and that fruitful cooperation in this area will continue.
According to him, the Russian community in Azerbaijan is the biggest in the South Caucasus, it includes more than 120 thousand people.
Director General of the Moscow Center for International Relations (MCIC), Igor Tkach, read out the address by the head of Moscow's department for foreign economic and international ties, Sergey Cheremin, who stressed the importance of education of Russian compatriots, Russian language abroad, support for the Russian-speaking diaspora.
