The co-leader of the Peoples' Democratic Party of Turkey, Selahattin Demirtas, said at the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that he attaches great importance to relations with Russia during this difficult period.
"From the very first days, we declared ourselves to be an opposition party, that we do not support the position of worsening relations with Russia," Demirtas said. "We criticized the actions of the government when the Russian plane was shot down," he added.
