The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan agreed to issue accreditation to diplomats of the current administration of Afghanistan. This was announced by the ministry's representative on April 17.

At the same time, Aibek Smadiyarov drew attention to the fact that Kazakhstan was not going to recognize the new Afghan administration.

The head of the diplomatic mission recalled that in the summer of 2021, the power vacuum followed the fall of the government in Afghanistan , and Afghan embassies in foreign countries suddenly stopped representing their country.

Let us remind you that to date, not a single state in the world has recognized the interim Afghan government's legitimacy. At the same time, there are diplomatic missions of the Taliban (banned in the Russian Federation) in Russia, China and Pakistan. The Taliban also appointed their diplomats to the consulate general in Istanbul and the embassy in Tehran.
