Tbilisi Municipality Assembly unanimously approved the procedure for the compensation of damage caused by devastating floods in Tbilisi at an extraordinary meeting, the capital city administration is ready to allocate compensation to the families of the victims of the disaster.
According to the draft, there are two categories: those whose homes were destroyed by the floods and cannot be reversed, and those whose homes can be restored.
The document provides two options: the first is the redemption of the affected property by the authorities at market value and the second is the allocation of funds in accordance with the number of family members.
In addition, families will receive a sum of 8 thousand laris (over $3 thousand) to 10.5 thousand laris (over $4.5 thousand) in accordance with the number of members in the family.
