A popular Russian composer and singer, People’s Artist of North Ossetia-Alania and Karachay-Cherkessia Dmitry Malikov told the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza about is future musical projects in the North Caucasus and Azerbaijan.
First of all, he emphasized that his tours in the Caucasus are "always especially warm and comfortable." "The Caucasus is a hospitable land with beautiful nature, there's no doubt about it. Therefore, I use every opportunity to go there," Dmitry Malikov said.
"I recently met with the leadership of Adygea, and we decided to stage my performance in Maykop. Now I want to stage this performance in the North Caucasian republics. I'd love to o it because children should listen to classical music," the musician said.
A concert dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the composer is planned in Azerbaijan. "There will be a creative evening in Baku dedicated to my work. The popular singers will sing my songs," Dmitry Malikov said.
The singer also expressed regret that he rarely visits Baku. "I haven't been in Baku for about three years, I heard that it has changed even more and not it's simply amazing there," he added.
