The Ministry of Public Education issued a statement saying that there are no plans to extend school holidays.
The department noted that the holidays would last, as previously reported, until January 24.
Earlier, on the Internet there was information that winter school holidays will be extended until 1 March due to the spread of "omicron" in the republic. The Ministry of Public Education emphasized that this is false information.
Recently, the incidence of coronavirus has been growing in Uzbekistan amid the emergence of a new omicron strain. New quarantine restrictions are being introduced, and borders are partially closed because of that.
