Nana Dzagnidze became the champion of the European Women's Chess Championship. The tournament ended today in Riga.
In the 11th round, Nana, playing with black figures, played in a draw with the Russian Natalia Pogonina and, having scored 8.5 points, became unattainable for the opponents.
The second and third places went to the Russian chess players - Alexandra Goryachkina and Alisa Galliamova.
Dzagnidze became the first Georgian chess player, who won the European Championship, Sputnik Georgia reports.
