The talks on the Syrian settlement launched yesterday evening in Geneva will contribute to reducing tension in the country, but a final solution to the problem will not happen soon, the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Vladimir Jabbarov, said.
"I have a positive spirit in this regard. I hope for an improvement of the situation and a reduction of tension as a whole," TASS quotes him as saying.
