Employee of the press service of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the EU Virginie Butt-Henriksson has said today that the European Union gave a mandate for negotiations on a new agreement with Armenia.
According to her, the European Council authorized the European Commission and the High Representative to start negotiations on a new, legally binding and comprehensive agreement with Armenia. "The decision was taken at today's meeting in Luxembourg at the level of foreign ministers," Butt-Henriksson said.
