Georgia will be able to implement its governance reform faster and more efficiently than planned thanks to a new 30 million euro grant offered by the European Union.
"We will have to put much effort in this area to ensure complete compliance with the undertakings provided by the EU Association Agreement and to create a governance system that is aligned with EU regulations and engages citizens in the decision-making process,” Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the government meeting.
The PM and Georgia’s Ambassador to the EU Janos Herman will discuss details of the $30 million grant contract at a briefing tomorrow.
The governance reform was part of the Georgian Government’s four-point reform agenda that aimed to develop the country’s economy, Agenda.ge reports.
