EU prepares for any scenario regarding "Nord Stream" gas supply

The European Commission (EC) is preparing for any scenario regarding the supply of Russian gas to Europe via the "Nord Stream" gas pipeline. This was announced by the representative of the EC at today's briefing.

According to him, the European Commission admits that supplies will not resume on July 21.

"We are working on all possible scenarios, and one of the scenarios that we need to take into account in contingency planning is the possibility that supplies will not resume", Reuters quoted a European Commission spokesperson.

Let us remind you that since July 11, 2022, fuel supplies via Nord Stream have been suspended due to annual scheduled maintenance work, including testing of mechanical components and automation systems. The work is scheduled to be completed by July 21.
