EU leaders' summit ended up with no new measures against Russia. Though the European countries pledged to build up pressure on Russia in various areas, including with new sanctions, oil price cap and information war.
The EU will continue to build up pressure on Russia and impose new sanctions, a statement issued as a result of a summit in Brussels reads.
According to the statement, the European Union remains committed to increasing collective pressure on Russia. The pressure will be built up through new sanctions and tougher compliance with the old ones. The participants to the summit agreed to continue work on price cap for Russian oil.
The issue of recent restrictions' effectiveness was called important and urgent by the EU partners. The European leaders decided to intensify efforts to combat “false Russian narratives and disinformation.”
The jubilee, 10th package of anti-Russian sanctions was adopted in Europe in late February.
