The EU intends to pay Syrian refugees who are in the territory of Turkey, 30 euro per month, Die Welt reports.
The amount will be allocated via cards in October. Turkish Red Crescent and UN World Food Programme with the support of the Turkish authorities will control the process of the implementation.
"These payments will help the refugees to return 'a sense of normalcy'," the EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Christos Stylianides, believes.
He added that this measure is an unprecedented response to an unprecedented crisis.
