An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit Iran’s north eastern province of Khorasan Razavi, the Seismography Center affiliated with the Tehran University’s Geophysics Institute said.
The tremors occurred at 1:42 local time (GMT +3:30), leaving at least 2 people injured.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 7 kilometers underground, Iran’s state-run IRINN TV reported.
