In Dagestan, it is planned to implement eight energy projects for the construction of solar power plants, small hydroelectric power plants and wind power plants with a total capacity of more than 260 MW.
According to Magomed Alibekov, Deputy Minister of Energy and Tariffs of the Republic of Dagestan, the stations will be able to provide energy to more than 500 thousand people, "200 new permanent jobs will be created".
He further noted that the republic's territory has a huge natural potential for the renewable energy's development.
