Electric Networks of Armenia fined 60 million

The Public Services Regulatory Commission has decided to impose fines on the company Electric Networks of Armenia amounting to AMD 60 million.

The fines were imposed on 11 decisions. The commission accuses the electricity-distribution company of delays in connecting consumers to the electric network. It also extracted extra money from applicants in addition to the set price for connection to the network.

The company's lawyer tried to obtain postponement for the commission's decisions during the session, but the head of the commission, Robert Nazaryan, declined the request, calling the company's objection demagogy.
