An electric train will connect Makhachkala to the Russian border with Azerbaijan, while earlier it was only possible to get to the border by train from Derbent, the press service of the head and government of Dagestan reports.
The relevant agreement was concluded by the head of the Ministry of Transport of Dagestan, Shirukhan Gadzhimuradov, and the director general of the North Caucasian Suburban Passenger Company, Yevgeny Yermakov.
The transportation of passengers will be performed in Makhachkala - Khasavyurt, Makhachkala - Derbent, Makhachkala - the border with the Azerbaijan Republic directions, Makhachkalinskiye izvestiya reports.
