According to the office of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Türkiye and the newly elected President of Iran has held phone talks on Monday, July 8.
The central topic of negotiations between Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Masoud Pezeshkian were regional and global issues, RIA Novosti reports.
"During the conversation, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Iran, regional and global issues were discussed",
the Office of the President of Türkiye said.
During the conversation, Erdoğan congratulated his Iranian counterpart on his victory in the elections, focusing on the fact that he believed in the further development of relations between Ankara and Tehran under Pezeshkian's presidency.
"The Turkish President believes that relations between Türkiye and Iran will continue to develop in all areas in the new period, based on deep history",

The President of the Republic also congratulated Pezeshkian on his victory in the elections and wished him success in his new post.
