Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed his readiness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future to clarify the incident with the Russian SU-24 bomber in a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"Erdogan confirmed his readiness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future" the press service of the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nazarbayev also proposed the creation of a bilateral commission to fully clarify the incident with the Russian SU-24 bomber and find a way out of this situation. According to him, the Russian-Turkish relations were built over the years and today the parties need to take responsibility for saving of relations. "Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed hope that the parties will use all possible measures for de-escalation of the situation," TASS cited the report as saying.
