Speaking at today's meeting with Mukhtars (village heads) in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged parliamentarians to deprive five MPs from the pro-Kurdish People's Democracy Party of their immunity, including co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figena Yuksekdag, who he believes support the banned PKK and organizations of Syrian Kurds associated with them.
A corresponding request was previously sent to the Parliament by the prosecutor's office of the republic, RIA Novosti reports.
