The Russian Erebuni Air Force Base received four MiG-29 fighters of the fourth generation and an Mi-8 transport helicopter, the Southern Military District's press service said.
The aircraft have been transported to a military airfield in Yerevan from the Krasnodar Territory. "The fourth-plus generation frontline fighters and the Mi-8MT helicopter will be assembled by the airbase's engineering staff and put into operation. The airbase's pilots will start flight tests of the MiG-29 fighters in mid-March this year," Interfax cited the press service as saying.
A modernized MiG-29S has also been delivered to the airbase.
