Euro surges above 74-ruble mark for first time since April 1

The ruble exchange rate began to decline on the Moscow stock exchange today with the euro rising above 74 rubles for the first time since April 1.

The dollar exchange rate increased by 0.36 rubles and was worth 66.37 rubles, while the euro rose 0.46 rubles and was worth 74.02 rubles, RIA Novosti reported.

Brent oil futures for October delivery dropped 2.03% to $58.27 per barrel this morning.
