British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that it is necessary to develop a common European strategy to reduce dependence on Russian energy resources.
"It is important that we in the UK do not preach to countries that are heavily dependent on Russian imports," he said in an interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag.
All European countries, Johnson pointed out, are dependent on Russian gas and oil imports, not just Germany and Italy.
"We need a common European strategy to get away from this dependence," the head of the British government added.
