The European Commission has decided to allocate 95 million euros for projects on provision of education and food for Syrian refugees, settled in Turkey.
"Children of Syrian refugees in Turkey need access to official education, so that they could hope to build a normal life in the future. Education is an absolute priority and a human obligation for all of us," Interfax quotes the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Expansion Issues, Johannes Hahn, as saying.
According to him, 55 million euros will be allocated for these purposes, which will allow to send 110 thousand Syrian children to schools.
