According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of Armenia, over the entire period of the pandemic in the country, at least 5,740 doctors were infected with the coronavirus. Of them, about 3,500 are residents of Yerevan.
Thus, given that the total number of detected cases of Covid-19 infection in the country is 183,127, every 32nd sick person in Armenia is a medical worker.
According to Sputnik-Armenia, the Ministry of Health noted that monitoring of 72 hospitals in the republic showed that a number of institutions did not comply with the necessary rules of epidemiological safety. Doctors do not always use protective equipment, do not distinguish between clean and dangerous areas in hospitals, and sometimes do not disinfect medical instruments.
