Human remains from the crashed EgyptAir passenger jet suggest there was an explosion on board, Associated Press reports.
The official, who is part of the Egyptian investigative team, said that he had personally examined remains recovered from the crash site. Speaking on condition of anonymity he said all 80 pieces brought to Cairo so far are small human fragments, leading him to conclude that “the logical explanation is that it was an explosion”.
All 66 people on board were killed when the Airbus A320 crashed in the Mediterranean early on Thursday while en route from Paris to Cairo.
