In Turkey today it was decided to temporarily ban the publication of media material about the terrorist attack in Ankara, which could be capable of causing panic among the population. According to a decision by the Turkish Higher Board of Radio and Television, footage of the explosion and blood have been banned.
According to Tass, at the same time the authorities referred to current legislation, according to which freedom of the media may be limited, if it ‘threatens national security or seriously disrupts public safety.’
