EU countries will discuss the extension of the anti-Russian sanctions next week, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, said.
"The question of extending sanctions against Russia will be discussed next week. Their speech amplification is not coming," she said.
At the same time, France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said that sanctions against Russia should be lifted.
"I made it clear to Russian President Vladimir Putin during my visit to Moscow that we want to lift the sanctions, be it gradually, but the situation has to change, in Ukraine particularly. Both Russia and Ukraine needed to contribute to settling the Ukrainian crisis under the Minsk agreements for the restrictive measures to be abolished," Sputnik cited Ayrault as saying.
