Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran's commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as the only way ahead.
"In my address before Normandy World Peace Forum and in my meetings with French counterparts, press and think tanks, I emphasized Iran's commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as only way forward. As anchor of peace and stability in our region, Iran will always play constructive role," he wrote on Twitter.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman further reiterated that Iran has the regional anchor for peace and stability and will always continue its constructive role, IRNA reported.
Khatibzadeh who had traveled to Paris to take part at the Normandy World Peace Forum had earlier in an interview with the French daily, Le Monde in response to a question on the recent UN General Assembly, the perspective for the nuclear negotiations, and the fact that the Iranian foreign mister had in New York announced that the negotiations will soon be resumed, said that what the Iranian foreign minister said in New York is the same thing that ever since the new government took charge has been said and heard.
